Los Cabos will host the first marine farm with "shell nurse" artificial reefs, a Japanese technique pioneering outside Japan. The Coppel Foundation, JICA, and SEPUIMM signed the agreement after the success of a pilot in La Paz, which doubled the fish population and now hosts 38 species in two years. The project will expand from 200 to 1,000 structures.
