Strengthening Public Services in Baja California Sur

A Major Investment in Infrastructure

On Wednesday, Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío led a significant event in which 81 vehicles and machinery were delivered to various state departments. This initiative aims to enhance the operational capacity of the government and improve services across the municipalities of Baja California Sur. The total investment for this procurement amounted to over 106 million pesos, marking it as the largest single delivery of this nature during the current administration.

During the ceremony, Castro Cosío emphasized the importance of efficient and transparent management of public finances, which made this acquisition possible. He stated that the funds were generated from the leasing of the former Government House in El Caimancito, which were specifically allocated to address the pressing needs of the population.

"With these resources, we are delivering completely new units to the citizens, which will serve the communities in various areas. This is how we work towards transformation: by utilizing public assets to meet the needs of the people,"

he expressed.

Enhancing Operational Efficiency

The newly acquired vehicles and machinery will significantly streamline fieldwork, supervision, social assistance, service provision, and project execution. This enhancement is expected to provide personnel with better conditions to carry out their duties effectively. The distribution of the units includes a variety of departments, ensuring a broad impact across different sectors.

Out of the total delivered, 12 units were allocated to the Secretary of Public Security, 39 to the Attorney General's Office, 4 to the Sudcalifornian Institute of Culture, 4 to the Sudcalifornian Institute of Sports, 7 to the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State, 4 machines to the State Roads Board, 3 units to the Secretary of Urban Planning, Infrastructure, Mobility, Environment, and Natural Resources, 6 to the Undersecretary of Administration, and 2 to the State DIF System.
