State Surfing Qualifier Kicks Off Path to 2027 CONADE National Olympics

The journey towards the 2027 CONADE National Olympics is set to begin with the state surfing qualifier, scheduled to take place from September 26 to 28 in San Juanico, located in the municipality of Comondú, Baja California Sur. This information was shared by Noé Fiol Verduzco, the Director General of the Instituto Sudcaliforniano del Deporte (INSUDE).
Registration for First Discipline
Fiol Verduzco announced that registrations for this initial event will open on August 31. He emphasized that all five municipalities will host various qualifying competitions, showcasing a range of sports disciplines.
The sports calendar will proceed with boxing and basketball events in Comondú from October 29 to November 1. Following this, baseball and swimming competitions will be held in La Paz from November 5 to 8. Loreto will host football and beach volleyball from November 13 to 15. Meanwhile, karate competitions are set for La Paz from November 20 to 22.
Upcoming Competitions
Indoor volleyball is scheduled to take place in Los Cabos from November 26 to 29. Additionally, events for associated wrestling, taekwondo, and cycling will occur in La Paz from December 3 to 6. The sports calendar will conclude with weightlifting competitions in Los Cabos from December 11 to 13.
Fiol Verduzco highlighted that this comprehensive program provides athletes from the five municipalities the opportunity to qualify and represent Baja California Sur at the national level in 2027.
Financial Support for Education
In related news, it was reported that more than 2 billion pesos have been allocated for scholarships aimed at supporting school retention in Baja California Sur. This initiative underscores the commitment to transparency and responsible management of public funds, as highlighted by Víctor Castro.
