Government Support for Athletes

The Government of Baja California Sur, through the Sudcalifornian Sports Institute (INSUDE), has announced a substantial investment of 2 million 988 thousand 426 pesos aimed at enhancing the disciplines of cycling and shooting sports. This funding is specifically allocated for the acquisition of specialized equipment for local athletes, reflecting the government's commitment to supporting sports development in the region.

The breakdown of the funding reveals that a significant portion, 2 million 554 thousand 702 pesos, has been directed towards cycling. This investment includes the purchase of four track bicycles, specifically designed for competitive use. Among these are two pursuit bicycles with handlebar sizes of 52 and one with a size of 54, along with a time trial bicycle also sized 54. Additionally, the acquisition includes four front wheels, five blades, and four rear covers, all essential for enhancing the performance of local cyclists.

Advancements in Shooting Sports

In the realm of shooting sports, the investment has also made a notable impact. A state-of-the-art air rifle, valued at 185 thousand 600 pesos, has been introduced to the training arsenal, received by coach Sandra Paulina Sánchez Hernández. This addition complements previous investments, including an electronic target machine and software, which together totaled 248 thousand 124 pesos. Thus, the total investment in shooting sports has reached an impressive 433 thousand 724 pesos, showcasing a robust commitment to improving the training conditions for athletes in this discipline.
