A Call to Action for Local Support

The Sudcalifornian Institute of Women (ISMujeres), led by its director Berenice Serrato Flores, is calling on the community to participate in the upcoming Expo Mercaditas. This event aims to promote local consumption and create opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Los Cabos. Scheduled for Friday, September 18, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arcos del Sol Park in the El Progreso neighborhood of Cabo San Lucas, the event is free for all attendees.

"Purchasing products made and offered by local women is a direct way to support their projects, enhance their income, and contribute to the growth of the region's economy,"

stated Serrato Flores.

Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship

The Expo Mercaditas is not just an event; it is a platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products and connect with the community. Attendees will have the chance to explore a variety of items crafted by local women, thereby strengthening their initiatives and promoting local labor. This initiative aligns with ISMujeres' ongoing efforts to foster economic autonomy among women by creating spaces that support the development of productive initiatives, generate income, and provide greater opportunities for growth.

"With this activity, ISMujeres continues its actions that promote economic autonomy through spaces that favor the development of productive initiatives,"

Serrato Flores added.

Strengthening the Local Economy

The importance of supporting local businesses cannot be overstated, especially in a region like Los Cabos, where tourism plays a significant role in the economy. By attending the Expo Mercaditas, community members can contribute to a more sustainable local economy. This event serves as a reminder that purchasing locally not only benefits the individual entrepreneurs but also enhances the overall economic health of the area.

The Expo Mercaditas is expected to attract a diverse crowd, eager to discover unique products that reflect the creativity and hard work of local women. As the community gathers to support these entrepreneurs, it also fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose.

"We encourage everyone to come out and support our local women entrepreneurs. Together, we can make a difference in our community,"

concluded Serrato Flores.

The Expo Mercaditas represents a significant step towards empowering women and promoting local consumption in Los Cabos. By participating, attendees will not only enjoy a vibrant marketplace but also play a crucial role in uplifting their community and supporting the economic growth of the region.
