The streets of San Jose del Cabo were flooded with energy, lights, and family harmony. This May 2026, the "Bici-Actívate" program, promoted by the XV Government of Los Cabos through the Municipal Sports Institute (INDEM), hosted a highly successful recreational event that brought together more than 100 cyclists of all ages. The cycling group demonstrated that interest in outdoor sports and sustainable mobility is rapidly gaining momentum within the Los Cabos community.

The route, which traditionally started from the parking lot of the "Rodrigo Aragón Ceseña" Sports Complex, proceeded safely and orderly along the downtown bike lane network, concluding with great enthusiasm at Las Palmas Park. Directed by INDEM and its head, Elton Olachea Arce, this evening ride aims not only to combat a sedentary lifestyle but also to raise awareness among citizens regarding the protection of designated bike lanes and the vital importance of traffic safety in the region.

Since the attendance goal of 100 participants was surpassed, riders enjoyed special dynamics and incentives introduced to encourage consistency in using alternative methods of transport. Municipal authorities extended an invitation to the local public to stay tuned for upcoming "Bici-Actívate" dates, reaffirming their commitment to expanding these community rides to various delegations across the municipality and continuing to pedal toward a healthier, more integrated, and empathetic Los Cabos.
