New Road Construction Begins in Vizcaíno with Over 16 Million Pesos Investment

Enhancing Mobility and Safety
In Villa Alberto Andrés Alvarado Arámburo, commonly known as Vizcaíno, the construction of a new road has officially commenced. This project, which is being funded by the Social Work Trust of the Municipality of Mulegé (FOIS), represents a significant investment of over 16 million pesos. The new roadway will be situated between the Casa Cuna and the State Public Security Secretariat's office, aiming to improve the overall mobility and safety for local families and emergency responders traversing this area.
Carolina Armenta Cervantes, the Secretary of Urban Planning, Infrastructure, Mobility, Environment, and Natural Resources (SEPUIMM), visited the site to oversee the initiation of the construction work. During her visit, she emphasized the importance of this project in enhancing the living conditions for the residents of Vizcaíno.
"This work will improve mobility conditions and provide greater safety for families and emergency personnel who transit through this sector,"
she stated.
Project Details and Specifications
The extensive project includes several key components designed to ensure the road meets modern standards. The construction will feature the installation of asphalt pavement, hydrosanitary networks, curbs, sidewalks, public lighting, urban furniture, protective works, and traffic signage. These elements are crucial for creating a functional and safe roadway that can accommodate the needs of the community.
Armenta Cervantes assured that all construction activities will adhere to established technical specifications and quality standards. This commitment is vital to guarantee that the new roadway will fulfill the necessary conditions for its intended use.
"The works will be carried out according to the technical specifications and quality standards established, ensuring that the new roadway meets the required conditions for its operation,"
she remarked.
Broader Impact on Local Infrastructure
This new road construction is part of a broader initiative by the current state administration to enhance infrastructure in Mulegé. The government has already undertaken several significant projects, including the paving of the road from Bahía Tortugas to Punta Eugenia, the road to San Francisco de la Sierra, and the stretch from Bahía Asunción to Punta Prieta. These improvements are designed to foster better connectivity and accessibility throughout the region.
The investment in Vizcaíno is not just about building a road; it symbolizes a commitment to the community's growth and development. As the construction progresses, local residents can expect improved access to essential services and a safer environment for their daily activities. The government’s focus on infrastructure development reflects a strategic approach to enhance the quality of life in Baja California Sur.
As the project unfolds, it will be crucial for the community to stay informed and engaged, ensuring that the new infrastructure meets their needs and expectations. The positive changes anticipated from this investment could set a precedent for future developments in the region.
