Enhancing Document Security

The governor of Baja California Sur, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío, recently witnessed the launch of the Digital Notarial Seal, a groundbreaking technological tool designed to verify the authenticity of notarial documents. This initiative aims to significantly reduce the risk of document forgery in credit and housing transactions, as well as in procedures before the Public Registry of Property and Commerce.

"This technology is essential for combating the use of counterfeit documents and strengthening legal certainty in our processes,"

Castro Cosío stated during the presentation.

The Digital Notarial Seal, developed in collaboration with the National College of Notaries of Mexico and the College of Notaries of Baja California Sur, incorporates a unique QR code. This code allows individuals to consult and validate the information of notarial instruments in real-time through a digital platform. This innovation is expected to streamline processes and enhance trust in legal documents.

Impact on Real Estate and Credit Transactions

Among the documents that will feature this new seal are instruction letters related to housing credits and financing, as well as deeds and other instruments linked to registration procedures. The implementation of this technology is particularly relevant for protecting the assets of families in Baja California Sur, especially during real estate transactions and mortgage processes.

"These measures are crucial for safeguarding the heritage of Sudcalifornian families, providing greater guarantees regarding the authenticity of documents,"

Castro Cosío emphasized.

The introduction of the Digital Notarial Seal comes at a time when the need for secure and reliable documentation is more critical than ever. As fraudulent activities in real estate and financial sectors continue to rise, this initiative represents a proactive step towards ensuring that families can trust the legitimacy of their transactions.

A Step Towards Modernization

During the presentation, the governor acknowledged the efforts of notaries in adopting this technology, which not only enhances the security of transactions but also modernizes the notarial profession in the region. The Digital Notarial Seal is expected to set a new standard for notarial practices in Mexico, aligning with global trends in digital verification and security.

"We are committed to providing our citizens with the best tools to protect their interests and ensure that their transactions are safe and legitimate,"

Castro Cosío concluded.

As Baja California Sur embraces this innovative approach, it sets a precedent for other states to follow. The Digital Notarial Seal not only promises to enhance security but also aims to build a more transparent and trustworthy environment for all legal and financial operations in the region.
