New Agreement to Streamline Real Estate Transactions in Baja California Sur

Introduction
In a significant move to enhance the real estate landscape in Baja California Sur, Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío led the signing of a new agreement aimed at streamlining property transactions. This initiative, unveiled at the La Paz Convention Center, is set to revolutionize how real estate professionals manage their operations, providing them with tools to expedite processes and ensure legal certainty in property dealings.
Details of the Agreement
The agreement was signed between the Secretary of Finance and Administration, represented by the General Directorate of the Public Registry of Property and Commerce, and two prominent associations: the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and the Sudcalifornian Association of Real Estate Professionals, A.C. (ASPI). This collaboration marks a pivotal step in modernizing the real estate sector in the region.
Through the newly established Web Module for Real Estate Professionals, agents will be able to securely make online payments, consult property records, request certificates of freedom from liens, and track the status of their transactions in real-time. This digital platform is expected to significantly reduce bureaucratic delays and enhance the overall efficiency of property transactions.
"Having mechanisms that provide security to individuals regarding the properties they acquire is essential to protect their assets and, at the same time, create conditions that favor investment and economic development in Baja California Sur,"
expressed the state governor.
Enhancing Trust in Transactions
The initiative aims not only to streamline processes but also to foster trust among buyers and sellers. Karina Ramírez Miranda, the General Director of the Public Registry of Property and Commerce, emphasized the importance of this module in verifying the registration status of properties, which will contribute to building greater confidence in real estate transactions.
"This module will facilitate the verification of the registration status of properties and help generate greater trust in transactions,"
she stated.
Governor Castro Cosío highlighted that these actions are part of a broader transformation of the Public Registry into a more efficient and transparent institution. This transformation is designed to simplify processes and provide families with certainty regarding their assets, ensuring that even modest properties sold have certification of their legitimacy.
Conclusion
The signing of this agreement represents a significant advancement for the real estate sector in Baja California Sur. By leveraging technology and enhancing collaboration between government and industry professionals, the region is poised to improve the security and efficiency of property transactions. As the governor noted, these efforts are crucial for protecting citizens' investments and fostering a robust economic environment. The initiative is expected to pave the way for a more dynamic and trustworthy real estate market in the state.
