Promoting Economic Growth

The XV City Council of Los Cabos, through the General Directorate of Economic Development, is gearing up to participate in the sixth edition of ExpoCon 2026. This significant event is scheduled for October 20, 21, and 22 at the Krystal Grand Hotel in San José del Cabo. The primary aim of this participation is to foster business opportunities within the construction, architecture, and real estate sectors.

During a press conference, Abril Urueta Martínez, the General Director of Economic Development, emphasized the importance of this event, marking the third time the department has engaged in ExpoCon under the current administration led by Christian Agúndez Gómez. Urueta highlighted the potential for local businesses to gain visibility and connect with new partners.

"This event is a crucial platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings and network with industry leaders,"

she stated.

Participation and Economic Impact

The upcoming ExpoCon is expected to feature around 70 exhibitors, with 50% of them being local companies. This participation not only showcases local talent but also attracts companies interested in establishing a presence in the municipality, reflecting the growing confidence in Los Cabos as a prime destination for investment.

Urueta Martínez provided insights into the anticipated economic impact of the event, projecting a revenue generation of between 3 and 5 million pesos. This influx will primarily stem from the demand for accommodation, food, and transportation services by visitors and exhibitors attending the expo.

"We expect a significant economic boost from the influx of participants, which will benefit various sectors in our community,"

she added.

A Call to Action for Local Stakeholders

ExpoCon serves as a vital meeting point for businesses, manufacturers, distributors, and professionals within the sector, facilitating the presentation of new products, materials, and technologies. Urueta Martínez extended an invitation to builders, entrepreneurs, and the general public to attend the event free of charge, emphasizing the importance of community involvement.

In addition to Urueta, the press conference featured Yuridia Ochoa, a representative from the Association of Real Estate Developers of Los Cabos, and Jorge Covarrubias, representing CANACO ServyTur Los Cabos. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts between various stakeholders to enhance the economic landscape of Los Cabos.

"We encourage everyone to participate and take advantage of the opportunities that ExpoCon 2026 will present,"

Ochoa remarked.

As the event approaches, anticipation builds around the potential partnerships and innovations that could arise from this gathering, positioning Los Cabos as a hub for business development in the region.
