La Paz, Baja California Sur, is set to welcome approximately 150 students and educators from various states across Mexico for the II National Colloquium on Normalist Radio Experiences. Scheduled for September 17 and 18, the event aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants. Alberto Avilés Lucero, head of the Department of Higher Education for Education Professionals, emphasized the importance of this gathering in enhancing educational practices through radio.

"This colloquium is a significant opportunity for our students and educators to share their experiences and learn from one another."

The event will feature a variety of activities, including workshops, radio programs, podcasts, and interviews, all designed to promote the use of radio as an educational tool. The initiative aligns with the growing trend of integrating digital formats into educational settings, allowing for a richer learning experience.

Strengthening Communication Skills

The four normal schools in Baja California Sur are equipped with functional radio booths, where students and teachers create content as part of their training. This hands-on experience not only enhances their communication skills but also prepares them for future professional endeavors in education.

"Our normal schools are committed to developing innovative educational practices that empower our students."

Avilés Lucero noted that these radio projects are instrumental in helping students articulate their ideas and engage with their communities. By participating in the colloquium, attendees will have the chance to showcase their work and gain insights from peers across the nation.

Sharing Best Practices

The colloquium serves as a platform for sharing best practices related to radio and digital formats in education. It aims to generate valuable learning experiences among students and educators from participating institutions. The event is part of the broader efforts by the Ministry of Public Education to promote innovative alternatives that contribute to the training of education professionals.

"We are excited to host this event and continue the exchange of experiences that began in the national edition held in 2025."

Baja California Sur's role as the host for this year's colloquium highlights its commitment to educational advancement and collaboration. As the event approaches, anticipation builds for the exchange of ideas and strategies that will benefit the educational landscape across the country.

The II National Colloquium on Normalist Radio Experiences promises to be a landmark event, paving the way for future collaborations and innovations in education through the power of radio.
