The Baja California Sur cyclist was crowned champion in the women's team sprint, playing a key role for the Mexican delegation.

According to local media reports, the Mexican team, comprised of Verdugo, Daniela Gaxiola, and Jessica Salazar, stopped the clock at 1:05.996. This outstanding performance allowed them to confidently defeat the delegations from Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago on the track.


This victory reaffirms the Baja California Sur athlete's standing in high-performance international competition. Furthermore, her triumph provided crucial points to help the Mexican delegation maintain its leading position in the overall medal table.


Alongside the women's squad's achievement, the Mexican men's sprint team also secured back-to-back Central American championships with a gold medal, capping off a perfect day for the national track cycling program.
