South Californian skateboarding has closed a brilliant chapter in its sporting history. This May 2026, the Baja California Sur delegation officially concluded its participation in the CONADE National Games, proving that urban sports have fertile ground and a massive future in the peninsula. Young South Californian skaters competed against the country's best in intense sessions of tricks, speed, and style in the Street and Park modalities.

Through the South Californian Institute of Sports (INSUDE), the tremendous effort and technical growth of the state team were highlighted. Despite facing states with a long history of Olympic-level public parks, the grit and passion of local athletes made it clear that BCS has what it takes to compete at the highest level. This participation not only serves as valuable competitive experience to consolidate promising urban skaters but also paves the way for structuring better local leagues.

With the closure of this discipline in the great national event of 2026, the commitment remains on the side of authorities and the community to continue promoting proper infrastructure, such as quality public skateparks across the five municipalities. Skateboarding is no longer just a street hobby; it is an Olympic discipline and a breeding ground for discipline and perseverance where the youth of Baja California Sur are ready to keep flying high. Congratulations to the entire delegation for leaving their souls on the wheels!
