The Baja California Sur delegation continues to reap success on its path to national glory. This March 25, 2026, the macroregional qualifiers concluded with excellent news from two very different fronts: the ring in Sinaloa and the board in Sonora. A total of 8 boxers and 4 chess players from BCS managed to overcome their northwestern rivals, sealing their tickets to the final phase of the 2026 CONADE Nationals.

From impact physics and biomechanics perspectives, boxing success depends on linear momentum transfer.

On the other hand, in high-level chess, performance is measured by the statistical probability of victory based on the Elo system.

In 2026, the integral training of Sudcaliforniano athletes has made the difference. INSUDE highlighted that both boxing and chess share a common psychological basis: pressure management under fatigue.

In conclusion, the public is recommended to follow the performance of these young people who represent the duality of strength and intelligence of our peninsula. For the remainder of the spring, joint training camps with other qualified states are expected.
