Support for Students

Overview of the Financial Aid Program

The XV City Council of Los Cabos, through the Municipal Education Directorate, has announced the distribution of economic support to students benefiting from the program. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to families and ensure that students can continue their education without financial burdens. The payment for the September-October 2026 bimonthly support will take place on Wednesday, October 7th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Distribution Locations and Requirements

Students can collect their financial aid at several designated locations, including the Leonardo Gastélum Auditorium in Cabo San Lucas, the sports court in the El Zacatal neighborhood in San José del Cabo, and the offices of the delegations in La Ribera, Santiago, and Miraflores. To ensure a smooth process, students in primary education must present four copies of their current school ID or a study certificate with a photograph, along with four copies of the official identification of their parent or guardian.

For secondary, high school, and university students, it is required to present four copies of their current school ID or a study certificate with a photograph. In cases where students cannot attend in person, parents or guardians may collect the aid on their behalf, provided they present the necessary documentation and four copies of their official identification.

"This financial support is crucial for our students and their families, as it helps alleviate some of the economic pressures they face while pursuing their education,"

said Christian Agúndez Gómez, the Municipal President of Los Cabos.

Commitment to Education and Community Support

The Los Cabos City Council's initiative reflects a broader commitment to education and community welfare. The government recognizes the importance of supporting students in their academic journeys, particularly in a region where economic challenges can hinder educational access. By providing this financial aid, the council aims to strengthen academic persistence and assist families in managing educational expenses.

"We are dedicated to ensuring that our students have the resources they need to succeed academically. This program is part of our ongoing efforts to support education in our community,"

added Agúndez Gómez.

The program not only addresses immediate financial needs but also serves as a motivational factor for students to remain engaged in their studies. The city council hopes that by reducing financial barriers, more students will be encouraged to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.

As the distribution date approaches, the city council urges all eligible students and their families to prepare the necessary documentation to ensure a smooth collection process. This initiative is a testament to the city’s commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment for all students in Los Cabos.
