A Cultural Gathering

The Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura (ISC) is excited to announce the fifth edition of the Latino-American Cultural Festival, set to take place from October 15 to 17. This year, the festival will spotlight Oaxaca as a special guest state and Venezuela as a guest country. The event promises to be a vibrant celebration of Latin American culture, featuring music, conferences, exhibitions, crafts, and gastronomy.

"We invite the community to join us in this celebration of cultural diversity that enriches our society,"

said a representative from ISC.

The festival will be hosted at the Jardín Velasco and the Centro Cultural La Paz, starting at 6:00 PM each day. Activities are designed to be open to the public, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of community through cultural exchange.

A Rich History of Cultural Exchange

Since its inception in October 2022, the Latino-American Cultural Festival has grown significantly. The first edition took place at the Malecón in La Paz, featuring representatives from all five municipalities of Baja California Sur and Guatemala as the guest country. This initial gathering set the tone for what has become an anticipated annual event.

In 2023, Cuba was the featured guest, offering workshops on the production of Cuban cigars, along with conferences at the Archivo Histórico Pablo L. Martínez and various editorial presentations. The festival returned to the Malecón in 2024, with Colombia as the guest country and participation from the states of Sonora and Sinaloa.

"Each year, we strive to bring different cultures together, showcasing the richness of our Latin American heritage,"

the ISC representative added.

The fourth edition in 2025 was integrated into the Traditional Foundation Fiestas of Loreto, which celebrated the Three Californias, along with the United States and Guatemala. This integration highlighted the festival's commitment to promoting cultural ties and shared histories across borders.

Looking Ahead

As the fifth edition approaches, excitement is building within the community. The festival not only serves as a platform for cultural expression but also as an opportunity for local artisans and chefs to showcase their talents. Attendees can expect a variety of activities that cater to all ages, including live performances, art exhibitions, and culinary tastings.

To learn more about the complete program and details of the activities, the public is encouraged to check the social media channels of the Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura or contact them directly at 612-12-2-31-13. The festival promises to be a memorable experience, celebrating the rich tapestry of Latin American culture and fostering connections among diverse communities.

"We look forward to welcoming everyone to this incredible festival, where culture and community come together in a beautiful way,"

concluded the ISC representative.
