Strengthening Connections with the Productive Sector
The College of Scientific and Technological Studies of Baja California Sur (CECyTE BCS) has taken a significant step in enhancing the educational landscape by signing three collaboration agreements in Los Cabos. These agreements, forged with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, part of the Quivira Group, JW Marriott Los Cabos, and CECATI No. 106, aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the workforce.
Vladimir Torres Navarro, the General Director of CECyTE BCS, led the signing of these agreements, which are designed to provide students with opportunities to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings. This initiative is particularly crucial as it aligns educational outcomes with the demands of the local job market.
"We seek for young people to have an education linked to the real needs of the productive sector, with spaces to develop their skills and greater tools to continue their studies or join the labor market,"
expressed Torres Navarro.
Opportunities for Practical Experience
The agreements with Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and JW Marriott Los Cabos focus on integrating students into Dual Education schemes and professional internships. This initiative primarily targets students pursuing careers in Hotel Services, Industrial Maintenance, and Sales. By participating in these programs, students will gain invaluable experience in environments directly related to their fields of study.
The hands-on experience provided through these partnerships is expected to enhance students' employability and prepare them for the challenges of the workforce. The collaboration with these prominent hotels not only benefits the students but also enriches the hospitality sector by fostering a skilled labor pool.
"The participation of companies and specialized institutions allows the College to generate alternatives for young people to directly know the environment in which they can perform upon completing their studies,"
Torres added.
Expanding Educational Resources
In addition to the agreements with the hotels, the partnership with CECATI No. 106 focuses on offering training courses, certification processes, and joint programs that will further enhance the technical knowledge of the educational community. This multifaceted approach aims to create a more robust educational framework that supports both students and the local economy.
The collaboration with CECATI No. 106 is particularly noteworthy as it emphasizes continuous learning and skill development, ensuring that students remain competitive in an ever-evolving job market. By providing access to certification and specialized training, CECyTE BCS is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning among its students.
With these agreements, CECyTE BCS is not only strengthening its relationship with the productive sector but also expanding the avenues for Dual Education, professional internships, and certification opportunities for students in Los Cabos. This initiative represents a significant advancement in the educational landscape of Baja California Sur, paving the way for a new generation of skilled professionals ready to meet the demands of the local economy.
