Increased Flight Frequencies
Starting October 25, Aeroméxico will increase its flight frequencies on the Mexico City–La Paz route, as announced by the Secretary of Tourism and Economy (SETUE), Maribel Collins. This enhancement will provide travelers with more options, featuring three flight schedules in each direction: two with daily operations and one operating five times a week.
"This increase will expand travel options to La Paz and facilitate the arrival of visitors, contributing to tourism development and benefiting various sectors linked to the services our destination offers,"
expressed Collins.
During the high season, from December 17, 2026, to January 3, 2027, all three flights will operate daily, significantly increasing seat availability between the two destinations. This strategic move is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel to La Paz, especially during peak travel periods.
Positive Growth in Air Travel
Collins highlighted the positive trend in air transport within the state capital. In July, the La Paz International Airport recorded an 11% increase in passenger movement compared to the same month in 2025. This growth reflects the increasing interest in La Paz as a travel destination, driven by its natural beauty and cultural offerings.
"We will continue to work to generate better connectivity conditions with the rest of the country,"
Collins added, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing travel infrastructure.
The new flight schedule is a result of collaborative efforts among various stakeholders, including the Pacific Airport Group (GAP), Aeroméxico, the La Paz Tourism Trust, and the State Government through the Secretary of Tourism and Economy. This partnership aims to broaden travel alternatives and contribute to the tourism development of La Paz and Baja California Sur.
Flight Schedule Details
The flights from Mexico City to La Paz will operate as follows: AM 362 departs at 08:15 and arrives at 09:49, operating daily; AM 364 runs from 12:30 to 14:03, five times a week; and AM 366 departs at 16:15, arriving at 17:48, also daily. In the reverse direction, flights from La Paz to Mexico City will include AM 363, which leaves at 10:38 and arrives at 13:55 every day; AM 365, from 14:58 to 18:15, five times a week; and AM 367, departing at 19:22 and arriving at 22:50, operating daily.
This expansion of services by Aeroméxico not only enhances travel convenience but also signifies a robust recovery and growth trajectory for the tourism sector in Baja California Sur. As more travelers seek to explore the unique offerings of La Paz, the increased flight frequencies are poised to play a crucial role in supporting the local economy and tourism industry.
