The Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura (ISC) is excited to invite the community to the upcoming exhibition titled "The Poetics of the Trace: Memory, Space, and Absence". This captivating showcase features the work of visual artist Ulises Verde and will be inaugurated on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:00 PM at the Carlos Olachea Boucsiéguez Art Gallery.

The Artist Behind the Vision

Ulises Verde is a distinguished Mexican visual artist, researcher, and academic. He holds a Ph.D. in Arts and Design from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Disruptive Technologies and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Carabobo. Verde's artistic journey is marked by a unique blend of artistic creation, research, and photography, which he has showcased in various prestigious venues across Italy, Spain, Germany, and Ecuador.

Verde's work has garnered significant recognition, including his appointment as an Artist Member and Cultural Manager of the Società delle Belle Arti in Florence, one of the oldest artistic institutions in the world. His exhibitions have been held at notable institutions such as the Cultural Institute of Mexico in Spain, the Civic Pinacoteca Monsignore A. Ricci in Monte San Martino, the Medina Gallery in Rome, and the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City.
